After releasing a video giving a first look at Wednesday season 2, Netflix has only bolstered beliefs in a popular Wednesday romance theory. When it first premiered on Netflix in November 2022, Wednesday quickly became one of the streaming platform's most popular TV shows ever. Based on characters from The Addams Family, the dark comedy follows Jenna Ortega as the eponymous Wednesday, a dour teen who begins investigating a series of crimes at her new boarding school for outcasts. Since then, audiences have been eagerly awaiting Wednesday season 2, and the behind-the-scenes video makes it feel closer than ever.

While not a trailer, the Wednesday season 2 first look offers glimpses of various aspects of the show. Viewers get to see new shots of Wednesday in her Nevermore uniform, holding a torch and looking fierce. There are also snippets of other beloved Wednesday cast members, such as Morticia and Gomez Addams. Plus, audiences are immediately thrown back into the show's creepy atmosphere with shots of Nevermore and its surrounding town of Jericho. Yet, there is one character return from the first look video that is particularly exciting. This character's new appearance hints at a wildly popular Wednesday fan theory.
